Scream Queers rende omaggio alle Scream Queens del nostro immaginario (da Jamie Lee Curtis a Mia Goth) per andare ben oltre.
Scream Queers è come Balto, sa solo quello che non è. E quello che non è lo sa benissimo: non è eteronormat* patriarcale e non è imposizione di genere.
È Queer, è sovversiv*, Altr*, deviante, weird. Questa ibridazione pura, questo eccesso con Scream Queer lo facciamo nostro e lo urliamo al cinema, sotto cassa, in strada.
Scream Queers pays homage to the Scream Queens of our imagination (from Jamie Lee Curtis to Mia Goth) to go well beyond.
Scream Queers is like Balto, it only knows what it's not. And it knows very well what it's not: it's not heteronormative patriarchal, and it's not gender imposition.
It's Queer, it's subversive, Other*, deviant, weird. This pure hybridization, this excess with Scream Queer, we make it our own and we scream it in the cinemas, loudly, on the streets.
